EDITORIAL PRINCIPLES

Seven principles for producing articles.

    We explain terms and mechanisms in sequence without assuming too much prior knowledge.

  2. 02Accuracy first

    We do not omit important conditions or risks for the sake of readability.

  3. 03Check sources

    For financially significant facts, we prioritise sources close to the original information.

  4. 04Keep the conditions

    We do not present information that varies by region, account, product or time as a universal fact.

  5. 05Explain risk too

    We give the effects of losses the same weight as the possibility of gains.

  6. 06Separate editorial decisions

    Our policy is not to change facts or the learning sequence based on partnerships or compensation.

  7. 07Review changes

    We continue checking and updating after publication according to how quickly information changes.

We check articles at each stage, from research to post-publication updates.

    Identify readers’ questions and the sources needed.

    Prioritise official information, regulatory information and legal documents.

  3. 03Fact Check

    Match important claims to their evidence, conditions and check dates.

  4. 04Human Review

    People review the content, structure, sources and risk wording.

  5. 05Publish and update

    Publish after approval and recheck when necessary.

SOURCE POLICY

The more important the claim, the closer we go to primary sources.

We prioritise financial regulators, government agencies, public investor education, official documentation and official legal documents. For broker articles, we also check regulator registries and the broker’s own legal documentation.

We do not use general web articles as the sole evidence for important claims about regulation, numbers, legal entities or trading conditions.

AI USE

AI is a tool to assist research and production.

We may use AI to assist with article structure, information organisation and writing. However, we do not establish financially significant facts on the basis of AI alone or automatically publish AI output as it is.

Where possible, we verify numbers, regulatory information, broker terms, legal entities and trading conditions against official sources.

HUMAN REVIEW

We do not overstate human review.

Before publication, people review the content, structure, sources and risk wording of articles intended for publication. Some drafts are still being reviewed; this does not mean that all drafts have completed human review.

We do not claim expert supervision or qualifications that we cannot substantiate.

FRESHNESS

Review frequency reflects how quickly information changes.

We do not review relatively stable information such as basic terms on the same schedule as more changeable information such as platform specifications, brokers, regulation and trading conditions. More changeable information requires more frequent checks before and after publication.

COMMERCIAL INDEPENDENCE

Manage editorial and commercial content separately.

Even if referral compensation arises in the future, our policy is not to change facts, assessments, the learning sequence or published content based on partnerships or compensation amounts. Commercial links and calls to action are separated from editorial text and clearly identified to readers where applicable.
